The Maverick Arms Eagle Pass, TX 12Ga. Model 88 is a pump-action shotgun manufactured by O.F. Mossberg & Sons. It is virtually identical to the Mossberg 500, with most accessories not dealing with the trigger being interchangeable with a Mossberg 500. The Maverick 88 is assembled in Eagle Pass, Texas, using some parts manufactured outside of the United States, mainly from Mexico, which contributes to their relatively lower price in comparison to the Mossberg 500 series of shotguns. The Maverick 88 comes in 6-shot and 8-shot, security, field, slug, and youth models available in 12 gauge and 20 gauge.
